"Something's Happening on ABC"

Abc87 a

ABC ident first year showing the slogan of "Something's Happening on ABC" (1987-1988)

This was the campaign that ABC used for the 1987-1988 television season, used until the 1989-1990 television season. The music used for the 1989-1990 version became the basis for its America's Watching ABC campaign in 1990, also of Network Ten's This Is It campaign of 1992, and two years later also became the basis for SBT's Fique Ligado no SBT campaign of 1994-1998. But in Australia's Nine Network, the song which was one of the basis for this-Shout by The Isley Brothers-became its campaign from 1989 to 1991, intertwining with its slogan Still the One and was used for two years, with two different versions made (the 1990 version vocals were performed by Jermaine Jackson), all tailor made for the network's program promotions.
