In December 2010 it was announced that KIDK had entered into a shared services arrangement with KIFI under which KIDK would be run out of the KIFI facility and 27 KIDK staffers would be laid off.[2] As a result of the arrangement, KIDK's morning newscast was canceled on January 7, 2011.[3] The URL was subsequently replaced by a redirect to a separate section of the KIFI website.
