Father Deep is the unfathomable deepest reaches of the terrifying valleys of the Hork-Bajir homeworld. It is believed by the Hork-Bajir to be one of their two creators, alongside Mother Sky.

According to the Hork-Bajir, they believe that Father Deep and Mother Sky gave birth to them. While Mother Sky gave the Hork-Bajir air and light, Father Deep gave them soil and water, as they were necessary for the trees that sustained them. But Father Deep was also the home of where monsters came from, and was said to create said monsters that prey of the Hork-Bajir. It was also believed that when it rained, it was Mother Sky cooling Father Deep's anger.
